Table Shuffleboard Building
Justin Littell's Table Shuffleboard Project.
I actually used a playing surface from a used table and built the cabinet (using your plans) around it. When I first started, I didn't know if I needed to make a playing surface or not, But craigslist is a wonderful thing and saved me a bunch of money by reusing a surface (mint condition) off of a really old beat up table.
I did a two tone stain with dark "concerto" on the ends and legs, and "vintage" for the middle. Color in pictures is a little off, as I don't have any lighting over the table yet. Entire table is white oak, with a pristine playing surface. The table was designed by myself and Jerry Reising, who did most of the work by taking your plans and creating a 3-D solid model. Carpet was a simple Home Depot carpet cut and glued into the gutters.
