Shuffleboard Refinishing
Refinished Rockola Shuffleboard Table by Kay's Restorations.
This table only had one of the diamond glasses in it. All the little missing pieces had the old dimpled glue in them. What we did was to cut out green stained glass (in one diamond shape piece), then paint the dimpled back drop with a chrome/silver paint. We installed each of the stained glass pieces and they show very well.
The table was also missing 7 of the chrome spears. So, we removed all the spears and repositioned them so that all 10 legs now have the chrome spears (3 ea.). We then reproduced the spears for the 4 corners on the table base (8 total) in maple. We primed them and then painted them with chrome paint.
We resurfaced the playing surface by hand. The red lettering and numbers were nearly illegible and we also did them by hand as well. Then table and surface was finished with 15 coats of high build semi-gloss lacquer.
