Shuffleboard Refinishing
Here are some pictures of Tom Vento's refinishing project - Brookfield, Wisconsin
My bowling approach started as a hunk 18' long by 4' wide and several hundred pounds. I hauled it around, moving it twice over ten years waiting to find the time and place to get it refinished. It is by far the largest and most in-depth wood project I have ever undertaken.
The trough, frame and legs are all select pine accented with a lot of mouldings and router details.
The scoring system and cup holders are certainly "stolen" from other designs that I found on your website. For the point lines, I used acrylic model paint and vinyl numbers to "stencil" the numbers on.
The playing surface was poured from (2) half gallon epoxy kits from the local home center. It couldn't have turned out better and is about 1/4 inch thick. All in all, I have about $600 into a 12' table that can be passed on to my boys some day. It was a fun project and is certainly the centerpiece of the rec room!
